Gutleutviertel & Westhafen: New living

Not long ago I went for a one hour stroll through Frankfurt's Gutleutviertel with the Westhafen area. The quarter belongs to the city centre and lies at the northern side of river Main. Once a low status residential area for workers, now some expansive new appartement buildungs change its face. The most popular building in the area is Westhafen Tower featured on the picture 'overview' (see links below).

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks, DJ! I do not live in one of those houses. Actually I am not even living in Frankfurt. I could not afford to live in one of these appartments for quite some time... They are REALLY expensive.

Very good shot, I must say though that the shot yesterday had more impact.... but that is only my preference for grey.

Interesting building forms and cityscape! If you have the chance, I'd really like to see the living environment for lower income people.

@hugo poon: I will keep that in mind, Hugo. When I am on a photo trip to Frankfurt next time I will try to find some of the more lower income places...
