Jura Hotel (1)

Jura has only one hotel. It is situated right next to the distillery. I did not spend a night here as I visited the island only for one day.

@paolo: The island is not that small, Paolo. It is about 60 km long. I am sure there are lots of things to explore. But as I only had five days for both islands, I spent only one at Jura.

interesting perspective. i think this subject with the muted colours would also look good with vintage touch on it too.

extraordinary composition. is it a hdr? it looks like one at least. it's so static and if it wasn't for that little green i would have thought it was all in grey :) congrats

Just to add to what Mirko already said:

If you're into walking, hunting and similar outdoor activities you can spend a lot of time on Jura. Walking the famous "Paps of Jura" (I'd be very surprised if there isn't going to be a picture of them here at some point...) will take a day alone. If you're really into your literature a visit to Barnhill (which is where George Orwell wrote large parts of his famous book 1984) is must, you also need to plan with a day to get there and back because it's so remote. You can also spend many days walking to and exploring the remote west coast.

So the hotel is well worth staying at, also for the drinks and banter in the evenings.

It has been put up for sale by the owner recently, I hope it finds a good buyer to keep it going!

This is very well done, although I must admit that I'm not a fan of HDR when it show. It's something about the tones. Just personal taste, and no reflection at all on your marvellous work.
